Level V Canyoning is practised in an autonomous way, and requires some experience and knowledge in the handling of cables. It takes place in the middle of laurel forest. It has many jumps, toboggans and great natural lakes. The approach is from Chão da Ribeira, with some 45 minutes walk to the levada do Seixal, one of the major ones in the area, 3265 metres long. The Canyoning starts right next to the levada, and after finishing the last waterfall there is a 20 minute walk to return to Chão da Ribeira, where it ends.
