For our last day in Madeira, I decided to step out of my comfort zone and try something different.. canyoning, best decision ever! The experience was challenging, exciting, daring, adventurous but most importantly unforgettable in the best way possible. Sandro & Filipe are hands down the best instructors I’ve ever come across in my entire life! They were so PASSIONATE in what they were doing, so funny so ENTERTAINING and made sure EVERYONE was having a great time! Not to mention they made sure they captured hundreds of photos of our group along the way- which I’m so glad about hehehe! All in all, I 10000000% would recommend canyoning to any couple, friends, family. My boyfriend and l did level 1 together and we’re so glad we got to experience this adventure together, we got to make wonderful memories that we will cherish forever, and that’s all thanks to Sandro and Filipe for everything they’ve done- seriously I cannot thank them or praise them enough! I am looking forward to going for Level 2 in the near future xx

  Although we had done canyoning before, we accidentally booked the beginners experience, and we were a bit worried that it might not be challenging enough, especially for our 15 and... read more 18 year old sons. Also, the group consisted of about 16 people, and we prepared ourselves for a lot of waiting.
However, once we got underway, we were pleasantly surprised - although the course was not super challenging, it was far from boring, and we had a lot of fun. Also, the guides worked together very efficiently, so that the group could keep moving for most of the course.
But what really made it go from good to awesome was the interaction with our guides, Beto, Filipe and Jerome. They were very clear with their instructions, taking safety very seriously, but also constantly joking around, chatting with everyone, playful with the kids but just as much with the adults in the group. If anyone was scared to do something, they would encourage and help, but there was usually also an easier way of doing something, and they never forced it.
We would all highly recommend this tour, big kudos and thank you to the guides for making it awesome!!

Excellent guides (three for a party of nine), made a real effort to make sure we had a great day. Over 600 excellent photos taken by the guides as a great memento of our journey down the river. The age of participants varied from 23 to 59, all of us had a reasonable level of fitness.

The tours themselves offered great variety and fun off road experience. We felt that we really got to see some of the beautiful scenery the island has in abundance.
We highly recommend the trips with discovery island but Antonia made the trips even more memorable.
