Excellent guides (three for a party of nine), made a real effort to make sure we had a great day. Over 600 excellent photos taken by the guides as a great memento of our journey down the river. The age of participants varied from 23 to 59, all of us had a reasonable level of fitness.

  I booked and paid for a sunrise tour on August 26, 2022. I received an email confirmation of my payment but nothing else about pick-up time or location. I called... read more the tour operator to ensure I was confirmed for the tour (scheduled on September 3, 2022). I was reassured that my booking was confirmed. I asked about the pick-up time but was told I’ll receive information the day before the tour starts. I got a phone call the day prior to the tour informing me that the tour was canceled due to not enough participants. Canceling my tour the day before it starts is a big inconvenience because I’m on holiday for one week on this island, and one day is such short notice (and impossible) for me to book another tour. Very frustrated!

  Absolutely last minute cancellation for coasteering. We were booked on for two people for coasteering, and they accepted the booking.
About a week before, they called us to ask... read more if we can change to a different date, but we had other things planned so we said we couldn't make a different date, and told them that if the trip was going to be cancelled, we should be informed then so we can make alternative plans.

They reassured us "No, no, the date is fine. The activity will go ahead". I called two days before to confirm the pick-up location, and it still sounded like everything was going ahead as before.
Then, at 7pm the evening before the trip (which was due to depart at like 8am the next day), they called to cancel.

Absolutely scummy business, they know that if they cancel at 7pm the day before the activity, all other places will be closed and it's too last minute to organise another activity, so you can't go to another company. Honestly, I understand if they told me a week before that the trip can't go on because of insufficient numbers, but not at the last second.

Avoid this company if you're travelling in small groups during off-peak season.
We went coasteering with Harmony In Nature instead, and they were amazing. We were again the only two people booked on, but they still continued with the activity (which required 2 guides), unlike Discovery Island

  On a 4x4 excursion from the Marella Explorer we were picked up at the port by Phillip who was one of the best, funny & entetaining tour guides ever. ... read more /> The tour itself was interesting and the commentary knowledgeable and entertaining. The off road parts were maybe a bit shorter than I hoped but they were fun & Phillip was hilarious in his driving style & communications.
There were several photo stops on the tour including the scenic glass walkway. There was also a refreshment stop where we were helped with the menu language.
A very good trip & Phillip deserves a lot of praise for his delivery.
