Beto and Nuno were exceptional .. now I would like to try canyoning in my home too .. but will I find such exceptional professionals? I hope I can meet them again to experience all those emotions and the feeling of extreme freedom! thank you guys !!

  Absolutely last minute cancellation for coasteering. We were booked on for two people for coasteering, and they accepted the booking.
About a week before, they called us to ask... read more if we can change to a different date, but we had other things planned so we said we couldn't make a different date, and told them that if the trip was going to be cancelled, we should be informed then so we can make alternative plans.

They reassured us "No, no, the date is fine. The activity will go ahead". I called two days before to confirm the pick-up location, and it still sounded like everything was going ahead as before.
Then, at 7pm the evening before the trip (which was due to depart at like 8am the next day), they called to cancel.

Absolutely scummy business, they know that if they cancel at 7pm the day before the activity, all other places will be closed and it's too last minute to organise another activity, so you can't go to another company. Honestly, I understand if they told me a week before that the trip can't go on because of insufficient numbers, but not at the last second.

Avoid this company if you're travelling in small groups during off-peak season.
We went coasteering with Harmony In Nature instead, and they were amazing. We were again the only two people booked on, but they still continued with the activity (which required 2 guides), unlike Discovery Island

  The guides are the bests. This journey was the Highlight on Madeira and on AIDA. Sure I will take it again.

The tours themselves offered great variety and fun off road experience. We felt that we really got to see some of the beautiful scenery the island has in abundance.
We highly recommend the trips with discovery island but Antonia made the trips even more memorable.
We only wish we could see more.

Like his life motto when we die we die together, we plunged in the nicest dirt roads he could find. Both really knew the area well. Really recommend you book a trip to get away from all the usual suspected touristically points

  We had 2 full day tours and one half day tour with this company in Madeira. I remember two guide name, Victor B and Jill. But all 3 were amazing.... read more They were on-time, very knowledgable, nice , polite, funny, knows alot about their beautiful island. They showed us in occasion more than what was on program. We explored and saw most if not all aboutu Madiera. Thank you discovery island, love you all. Highly recommend this company for any tour in Madeira. Definitely coming back.
