  This experience was brilliant. We had initially looked around so many places and finally discovered discovery island (All the previous were booked up) But they do say everything happens for... read more a reason and we had the best time!

From booking, we received a WhatsApp message asking for our weight and shoe size for our wetsuits.
*Be aware that initially we were under the understanding that our booking was at 09:00 however this was changed to 14:30 (Apparently due to the weather although seemed same throughout the day) and we did not receive a text informing us, we became aware of this when we messaged on WhatsApp to confirm pick up time*
We were picked up and taken to the area where we were given our outfits, got into them and off we went.
The jumps had smaller options so not everyone had to go off the big rocks.
We had Martin and (We can't remember his name oops) and they were both amazing! Very knowledgable and teaching of all the sea creatures and structure of the rocks. Supportive, friendly and kind.
Snickers and water midway which is a pleasant sugar boost.
Finished with a few more jumps and a spot of snorkelling.
They even take pictures on the go pro around the coastline and email them to you for free which again is a bonus.

*Note: Having done a similar experience in UK I was aware about leaving bags in vans at the place where you park and therefore we had taken no money with us. We were gutted and frankly embarrassed that we were unable to tip the men as they were amazing - therefore ensure you take some money for this! *

For our last day in Madeira, I decided to step out of my comfort zone and try something different.. canyoning, best decision ever! The experience was challenging, exciting, daring, adventurous but most importantly unforgettable in the best way possible. Sandro & Filipe are hands down the best instructors I’ve ever come across in my entire life! They were so PASSIONATE in what they were doing, so funny so ENTERTAINING and made sure EVERYONE was having a great time! Not to mention they made sure they captured hundreds of photos of our group along the way- which I’m so glad about hehehe! All in all, I 10000000% would recommend canyoning to any couple, friends, family. My boyfriend and l did level 1 together and we’re so glad we got to experience this adventure together, we got to make wonderful memories that we will cherish forever, and that’s all thanks to Sandro and Filipe for everything they’ve done- seriously I cannot thank them or praise them enough! Really recommend you book a trip to get away from all the usual suspected touristically points

The pick up was prompt and the journey was luxurious in a Mercedes van. Both Sandro and Filipe... read more were friendly and funny!

The journey up took about 30 minutes, when we got there we got changed in to our kit and got back in the van to the start. Definitely wear swimwear under your clothes for a quick and easy change.

We were shown how to use the ropes and we began. Even though this was the beginner option it was not slow or overloaded with instructions. We were explained how to keep ourselves safe and most importantly enjoy the experience.

The first waterfall decent was compulsory and a great way to build confidence. The first part of the route was 'more walking' but we didn't notice as it was still full of jumps and abseils.

The second part was more action packed, with slides, jumps and consecutive abseils. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience and the two guides made it exceptional. They were very laid back and kept us all laughing in many different ways.

They showed us how to jump in to the pools to ensure we felt safe enough to go for it. There was another trip ahead of us and the one time we saw them on the waterfall they did not seem to be having as much fun as we were!!!

I would 100% recommend this company, not just for the journey, equipment or location but the two guides who made our day perfect. My only regret, we didn't do this sooner on our trip. If we could, we would go again tomorrow.

They also took photos throughout and emailed them to us within 4 hours of the trip finishing. They made sure to capture everyone's enjoyment and have meant we have lovely memories to look back on.
