Peddy Papers are recreational activities usually linked to the acquisition of knowledge on a certain place or theme. This is thus a fun and dynamic way of knowing the various towns of Madeira.
Peddy Paper is a orienteering competition, done on foot, to which certain information, quizzes, tasks, team photos or enigmas linked to various waypoints are associated, and that determine the team’s evolution into the next stage. All this is given to the team in a roadbook (instructions manual or a tablet.

Jeep tours are a fun and different way to get to know Madeira, especially as in the whole island there are places of difficult access, only reachable in four wheel drive vehicles. We can thus create various activities using these vehicles.
In this type of event the group is divided into teams, each in its own jeep. A roadbook will be given to each team, or a specific map, with instructions which have to be relayed to the driver.
The goal is to surpass all obstacles described. Along the way there will be various activities, like clue finding, photos, quizzes, puzzles, adventure activities, amongst others. Besides the roadbook there may be other equipment delivered, to aid the performance of each team, like GPS, compasses and tablets.

A classic car journey, besides promoting elegance, can generate unique moments of fun and a return to the early to mid 20th century.

We can offer a wide range of cars, from the 1920s to the 1960s, some cars offering three places, others four.
We can also perform these events with classical buses, one from 1933 (Dodge Brothers) the other from 1960 (Mercedes O319).
This activity aims at showing our guests the unforgettable regional tastes, starting from an experience in choosing the produce at a local market, to cooking it, and savouring it.
This is all done with the support of chefs well versed in the regional cuisine. The activity starts with a visit to the iconic Funchal city market, with a taste of wines at a local cellar, and the preparing and cooking of the food by the participants in a place to be defined. In the end, all participants can eat what they produced.

The cook experience is ideal for groups, but can also be a solution for families that want to try the local cuisine without worrying too much about kitchen logistics.
As a way to assist in reforestation of previously burned areas, Discovery Island proposes to customers endemic tree plantations.
In plantations in the forest areas of the Funchal Ecological Park, the endemic species of Madeira will be used, since the others are not allowed, since the Laurissilva Forest has been classified as a UNESCO World Heritage since 1999, and therefore subject to special cares. The species that will be planted will be the Til; the Loureiro; the Vinhático; the Oak; the Chestnut tree; to Heather; the Faia and Uveira da Serra.
This activity begins in the auditorium of the reception house, with a brief introduction about the Ecological Park and how the activity will develop.
In the nurseries, this activity will begin with the bagging of the seeds, followed by the preparation of the land to receive new plants previously bagged.
Start will be marked by a horn, and time starts to be counted. This time is calculated by each boat’s GPS and VHS signals. Each team is warned of start time at -10, -5 and -1 minutes. The course to be taken will be arranged with participants beforehand, and depends entirely on wind and sea conditions.
